Washing & Care Instructions
If you choose to use a humidifier, they should be cleaned and maintained in the following manner:

1. Always use distilled / sterile water and change it daily
2. Daily, wash the humidifier in mild soapy water and rinse in clear water
3. Then soak in vinegar solution (1 part vinegar 3 parts water) for 30 mins, then rinse again in clear water

• Do not put humidifier in dishwasher as it will melt the plastic
• Change your humidifier to a brand new one every 2 to 4 weeks
• Always have an extra humidifier bottle on hand

Why use sterile water instead of tap water?

We recommend the use of sterile water when using a humidifier bottle as water needs to be sterilized for inhalation purposes. Unsterilized water can cause undesirable organisms or bacteria to grow. The flow of oxygen/humidified water goes directly to the lungs hence sterilising is essential.

When do I need to refill the oxygen in my oxygen concentrator?

The oxygen in your oxygen concentrator doesn't need to be refilled; it takes in the surrounding air and purifies it through the concentrator before delivering it to the patient.
