WHAT IS A PRESSURE RELIEF MATTRESS AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Pressure relief mattresses, particularly alternating pressure mattresses like the QDC-300B, help redistribute pressure to reduce the risk of bed sores. These mattresses use alternating air cells to relieve pressure points. They are especially beneficial for individuals with limited mobility or spinal cord injuries.

IS A FOAM MATTRESS REQUIRED UNDER THE AIR MATTRESS SYSTEM?

Yes, a foam mattress is required as a base layer under the air mattress system. The air mattress is not meant for comfort in the same way as a regular sleeping mattress and must be supported by a foam layer underneath.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INFLATE THE MATTRESS BEFORE USE?

Please allow 20–30 minutes after turning on for full inflation. Only place the patient on the mattress after it is fully inflated.

IS THIS MATTRESS SUITABLE FOR OVERNIGHT OR 24/7 USE?

Yes, it is suitable for 24/7 usage and is designed to support long-term care.

HOW DO I CHECK FOR AIR LEAKAGE IN THE MATTRESS?

To check for air leaks:
1. Check the Plug: Ensure the air hose is securely connected and not damaged.
2. Listen for Leaks: Turn the pump on and listen for any hissing sounds.
3. Visual Inspection: Look for any visible punctures or tears in the material.

IS SERVICING AVAILABLE FOR THE AIR MATTRESS SYSTEM?
